Transport - Airport
Getting from Copenhagen Airport to the city centre is quick and easy. With only 8 km to central Copenhagen, your journey will take between 13 and 35 minutes depending on your choice of transport.
By Train:
Trains from Terminal 3 run every 10 minutes during the day to Copenhagen Central Station, taking about 15 minutes. In the evenings, departures are every 20 minutes, and once an hour at night. From the central station, you can connect to other parts of the city and the rest of Denmark.
By Metro:
The metro from Terminal 3 takes just 13 minutes to reach Kongens Nytorv in the city centre. From there, you can transfer to lines M3 or M4, which circle the city and connect to key areas such as Frederiksberg, Nørreport and Nordhavn (cruise terminals). Metro trains run frequently and tickets can be purchased at the station.
By Bus:
Bus 5C departs from outside Terminal 3 and travels to Copenhagen Central Station in approximately 35 minutes.
By Taxi:
Taxis are available outside Terminals 1 and 3. The journey to the city centre takes around 20–30 minutes and typically costs 250–350 DKK, depending on traffic. Many hotels offer fixed-price airport transfers, which may be a convenient option during rush hours.
No matter how you travel, Copenhagen’s well-connected infrastructure ensures a smooth start to your visit.

Biking in Copenhagen
Getting on a bike in Copenhagen for the first time can seem a bit daunting for some.
Our best advice is to avoid the bigger streets during the early morning rush hour (7.00-9.00) and late afternoon rush hour (15.00-17.00), when the local Copenhageners are rushing to and from work and school. The Copenhagen bike lanes can be hectic in these time slots. Especially if you're a less experienced cyclist, you'll have a much better time exploring Copenhagen in the lesser crowded periods of the day.
